Aacp19k
Barnacle cement protein Aacp19k is an adhesive protein from the striped barnacle (Amphibalanus amphitrite). At the cyprid stage before a barnacle becomes mature, the cyprid releases cement protein to anchor itself to substrates like rocks. [1]
We performed codon optimization to improve gene expression in E. coli. This basic part is used in BBa_K4854021 as a fusion protein with CsgA protein (BBa_K4854013).
